Product Information

Emazole Control is a short-term treatment for reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation. Reflux causes your gullet (food pipe) to become inflamed and painful. Symptoms may cause a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat and may also leave a sour taste in your mouth.

• Emazole Control works by reducing the amount of acid produced by your stomach for at least 24hours.
• Emazole does not offer instant relief and may need to be taken 2-3 days in a row before you feel better.
• Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.

You must be aged over 18 years to purchase this product. Maximum order quantity of TWO packets per order.

This product is a medicine and can only be sold within Ireland.

How To Use

• The recommended dose is one tablet a day. You can take your tablet at any time of the day. Tablets can be taken with food or on an empty stomach.
• Swallow tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush tablets. If you have problems swallowing tablets, they can be mixed with a glass of water. Stir well until the tablet disintegrates. Drink the mixture within 15 minutes. 
• Do not take exceed the recommended dose, one tablet per day. You make need to take medication for 2 to 3 days before you feel an improvement. The treatment length is up to 14 days. When your reflux symptoms have completely gone, you should stop taking this medicine. 
• If your reflux symptoms get worse or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, you should consult a doctor. 
• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has prescribed. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. 
• Not recommended for children under 18 years. 
• If you are taking this medicine for a prolonged period, your doctor will want to monitor you, (particularly if taking it for more than a year).  If your doctor has told you to take this medicine as and when you need it, tell your doctor if your signs of illness change.
• Always take this medication as prescribed in the Patient Information Leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are un sure.

Each tablet contains 20 mg esomeprazole (as magnesium dihydrate).
